Justin's Japan blog

Konichiwa! It is Day 5 in Japan and although I am still waking up at 6am or earlier every single morning and taking mid afternoon naps, I feel my body is finally adjusting to the time change haha. We are so lucky to have a job that allows us to travel to beautiful places like Japan. We loved our first trip in 2009 but this time is even better as we are further understanding the way things work around here. We've spent the last four days wandering around Tokyo playing two Tower Records acoustic in-stores (Shinjukuh and Yokohoma) and a club show at the Loft. Great turnouts and so fun to see our fans again! In between the shows we've had some great eats, shabu shabu, sushi, ramen etc... and some great after parties where we've consumed many cans of Sapporo, Kirin and lots of sake. Our record label Twlight Records is taking good care of us as always and we are having a blast hanging out with Holiday Parade and Goot. I like how everything is smaller but more appreciated in Japan. Food / drink portions, hotel rooms, car lanes, garbage cans etc.. It creates this overall vibe of people not taking for granted the resources around them. I also LOVE how there is a vending machine every twelve feet with tons of delicious coffee, tea, and soft drinks. We find it so funny that American actor Tommy Lee Jones is the poster child for about 1/3 of all of the advertisements on the vending machines. He is the "Boss" haha. A few words I've learned recently: mata ne (see you soon), do itashimashite (your welcome), kimasu ka? (are you coming?), kanpai! (cheers!), gomennasai (sorry) and tonde (jump). Well I am rambling at this point but I just want to reiterate how much fun we are having here and how much we appreciate everyone's support of our music. I have been getting tons of video footage of the entire trip so look for my video blog after we return to the States. Thanks!! -Justin

Okay SO.

I was thinking about this the other day (completely irrelevant to this blog, idek why I'm posting this here.)

Since you guys are like 15 hours ahead of us, wouldn't this mean that, technically when you come home, you'll be arriving three-ish hours earlier than you left?

If my math is correct, that seems like such a mindfuck. I would be SO thrown off the rest of the day... Or probably the week. So weird.
Okay. This was pointless.
I miss you guys.
Bye.
